Latest News..... Thanks to all those who supported the sleigh last year (2010). We are delighted to say that despite the best efforts of the winter weather to bring us to a halt the sleigh raised over £2,950! The people of Dronfield are always generous and we are amazed at the way the towns residents support us with their donations to the sleigh. It is all in a good cause. The donations collected by the sleigh help to support a wide range of community projects in Dronfield, and international projects world wide. Come rain, hail, sleet, and sometimes even snow, Santa and his team of dedicated volunteers are out on the streets bringing a barrel full of festive cheer to the community. Rotarian Andy Ledbetter said: It is something that the children look forward to. It is a magical event. Children run to their front doors and windows, mesmerised by the music and waiting to catch their first glimpse of the sleigh. Seeing the delight and wonder on the faces people is a delight for all the volunteers who help to run the sleigh. It is all in a good cause. The donations collected by the Rotary Club during Santas Sleigh help to support a wide range of community projects in Dronfield, and international projects world wide.
