The author Adrian Waring is a beekeeper and writer of considerable experience. He has kept bees since 1961. He holds the highest UK qualification , the National Diploma in Beekeeping. His career has included employment as a County Beekeeping Advisor and Bee Diseases Officer for Northamptonshire and Leicestershire. He is currently General Secretary of the British Beekeepers' Association (BBKA) and regular contributor to their magazine "Bee Craft". Adrian has enjoyed a lively interest in bee breeding for many years and was an early member of BIBBA. He is currently a member of the BIBBA Executive Committee and has served as Chairman and Secretary.
